The highlight of her career was being inducted into her high school's Wall of Fame at the same time she was working there as a long term substitute teaching, and having her former teachers (now her co-workers) and mother present at the ceremony.

She became involved in her profession because she originally wanted to become a veterinarian, but desired more flexibility.

Where Will You Be In 5 Years:
In the coming years, Ms. Allen plans to retire from substitute teaching in a few years and pursue a veterinarian technician career and massage therapy career for both animals and people. In addition, she would like to get into digital photography and take pictures for travel magazines.
